We caught the edge of a typhoon in the China sea in '88 when we went to China and Korea and Japan and Hong Kong- and my husband just wanted to die. He spent a couple of days in the dark- didn't want me even coming in- and the doctor gave him shots of something to knock him out. He would have swum for it if he could, so I do understand. I was topside watching the ship go up up up, and then down down down. I think I was the only person around. I guess even most of the staff were sick. But like I said, i just don't get seasick or carsick or anything of those things. But I've got the shitty allergy to corn- which is probably worse when you live in America.

Did you read Swiss Family Robinson. My favorite as a kid.
