Donald Trump is up Adam Schitt creek Bill Palmer \| 9:09 am EST November 19, 2018 Palmer Report » Analysis Donald Trump tweeted something about “little Adam Schitt” yesterday, and after some debate as to whether it was a typo or an intentional insult, the tweet never was deleted and replaced – meaning that Trump really did refer to the incoming Chairman of the House Intel Committee as “Adam Shit.” Not only did Trump swing and miss (Schiff responded with a far better and classier zinger), he gave away something in the process. This weekend, Donald Trump – or one of his social media handlers – tried to use a bit of reverse psychology. Trump tweeted really nice things about the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Andrew Gillum, in an obvious attempt at tricking the left into believing that they were in league with Trump. He didn’t fool anyone. But now suddenly Trump is ripping into Adam Schiff with a barely contained level of rage and aggression. That’s because Schiff is one of the people who’s about to carve Trump up like a turkey sandwich. Trump spent a long time investing a lot of effort in making sure that House Intel Chairman Devin Nunes was in his pocket. He added Nunes to his transition team. His people called Nunes to the White House in the middle of the night and fed him classified intel, in the hope of making him feel special, so he’d go make a fool of himself and muddy the waters of the Trump-Russia probe. Trump was really counting on Nunes being in position to protect him, and for the past two years, he has been. But now the much smarter Schiff is taking over the committee, and he’s gunning for Trump, and he’ll have limitless subpoena power to work with. No wonder Donald Trump has developed such an unhealthy negative obsession with Adam Schiff. This is one of the guys who’s going to bulldoze him in short order. Trump tried to bait Schiff into weakening himself today with the profane insult, but he learned that you really can’t ruffle Schiff’s feathers. All it really means is that Trump is up Schitt creek.
