Trump’s approval rating on economy ticks up to new high The percentage of Americans who approve of President Trump’s handling of the economy has reached a new high, according to a poll released Monday. The Gallup poll found 53 percent of those surveyed approve of the president’s handling of the issue, up 3 percentage points from a poll conducted in August. This month’s figure marks Trump's best approval rating on the economy, up from the previous high of 51 percent.
