Got that one right. That is one reason why these oh so predictable lawsuits against the drive companies are oh so ridiculous.

You are quite correct Stitch, this newly shuffled deck has been becoming increasingly more apparent over the passed 6 months. Of the 3, I regard IBM as the most dangerous, not only as a competitor on the market place, but by quenching an in-house demand, the open market ends up with a major OEM customer less. Fujitsu I fear is here to stay. Maxtor; I am not so sure; they could get off-loaded by Hyundai for badly needed cash. (Added to their many other problems, I read yesterday in my local rag that their cars are loosing market share)

There is an interesting interview listed on Yahoo under QNTM news (Can someone explain to me how to introduce links pls.), in which QNTM's FE marketing mgr comments that the desk top DD biz represents too much of their biz, and that QNTM will be diversifying into other areas (or words to that effect)

Can anyone elaborate on what he may be refering to?

Going back to IBM; their big move into the DD biz surprised me, as in the recent past they have got put of money loosing comodity manufacturing businesses; they spun off the printer business to Lexmark, and they shut down their keyboard biz in Scotland. Sorry for calling the DD acomodity, but that is how I see it.

May 1998 be a great investment year for all DD investors
