***OT*** Passing the Time

Gary,

Why watch the paint dry when you can get into a fascinating
discussion about which way the water swirls in your toilet?
Alternatively, while we're waiting, we could all make a
pilgrimage to Corpseville, where E. Graphs will take us
on a tour and Linda will give us a start by leaping out
of the bushes and slurring her speech. Then we could all
come back to my place and enjoy a lecture from Michael
Coley about the science of box-packing, after which
Sheila's clairvoyant patient will host a seance where
we'll communicate with dead 5.25" 160k floppy users.

Gawd, I love you guys. And those of us who're grandfathered
into SI get all this for free, too. It's better than Comedy
Central.

Only six more days of this torture before we get the news.

Seriously back to Gary for a minute, I'm surprised that
you're 100% sure we'll see blowout earnings. What about
the suggestion from good 'ol Jak! that KE is going to
try to moderate the earnings growth by burying it in
some write-off or other? The historical evidence is
on his side on that one, so I'm not expecting a
blow-out in the strict sense of the word (though
anyone with brains should be able to read the whole
report and see very, very strong growth).

Hang in there, all, and have a good weekend.

Cheers, Tom (long IOM)
