David, thanks for the car nav post. You're right about Clarion's estimates -- they show the price stuck at $2000, which doesn't make sense.

Car navigation with collision avoidance would be a better combination than navigation with kiddie tracking. The LSR group on Silicon Investor has discussion of laser technologies, but GPS and laser technology together seems an inescapable combination to me. Anybody up to date on putting the two together??????
