BOE launches the first 55-inch printed ultra-high-definition OLED display

I take this as pretty significant news.

I don't recall, do we know if BOE is using WOLED or direct RGB emission?

Let's get the materials pumping out.

It would be interesting to see a time line. Epson announced in 2003 an inkjet OLED screen with a 2007 launch date, that never happened.

I think UDC probably has BOE's inkjet line covered.

Solution-processing methods have been in development for over 15 years. There are a number of challenges with this method, including the ability to meet the pixel performance required for commercial specification. For several years, we worked on P2OLEDs under joint development agreements with Dupont Displays and then Seiko Epson Corporation. If solution printing process does become commercially viable, our P2OLED phosphorescent materials are available for use.
