“Sources have said Manafort went to see Assange in 2013, 2015 and in spring 2016 –... But the last meeting is likely to come under scrutiny and could interest Robert Mueller,

Exactly what was Trump's election policy in 2013 and why should mad mueller only care about 2016 and not 2013?

Put up or shut up.

Update: WikiLeaks has fired back at the Guardian, tweeting: "Remember this day when the Guardian permitted a serial fabricator to totally destroy the paper's reputation. @WikiLeaks is willing to bet the Guardian a million dollars and its editor's head that Manafort never met Assange."

This is going to be one of the most infamous news disasters since Stern published the "Hitler Diaries".

— WikiLeaks (@wikileaks) November 27, 2018 The Guardian's report was written by Luke Harding and Dan Collyns, and was based exclusively on unnamed sources.
