You did it again. Below is the exact vote by region and party. Southern Democrats were called Dixecrats ,were racist and conservative are now Republicans. They changed parties after the vote!

You used the right wing TRICK of not counting the Dixecrats who were conservative racist southerners who are now Republicans. The right wing has been using this trick forever and now a liberal is using it? Remember I specifically said "liberals" and you acted like Dixiecrats were liberals.

Here is the exact vote everyone can analze: I don't know where you got your numbers, but they are wrong when counting liberals and conservatives who voted for and against it!!

House: You say only 35 in the house voted against it. I count 87 Dixiecrats an 10 southern Republcians for 97 southerners (Dixiecrats and Republicans) who voted against it plus 24 Northern Republicans and 9 northern Democrats. for a total of 130 in the house who voted against it and they all look like conservatives to me.

Senate: And then you say only 6 Republican senators voted against it and don't count the 20, Southern Dixiecrats who voted against it. Southern Democrats (Dixiecrats=racists!-now Republicans!) and one Nortthern Democrat whom I'll bet was a northern conservative, for a total of 27 senate conservatives who voted against it!!

By party and region[ edit]Note: "Southern", as used in this section, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states. [24]

The original House version:

  • Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7–93%)
  • Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0–100%)
  • Northern Democrats: 145–9 (94–6%)
  • Northern Republicans: 138–24 (85–15%)
The Senate version:

<
koan:"A Republican by any other name is still a Republican."

Wharf: "So Ev Dirkson and the 80% of the R's who voted for civil rights were still R's? How 'bout that?

koan:"If you go by person to person you will find damn few if any liberals who voted against"

Wharf: "If you go person-by-person, you'll only find 6 R senators and 35 Congressmen who voted against it.
