but "demand" may not be quite what the rise in Qwest's stock price
would lead you to believe.

...and now that Nick and Bill have thrown around some of the facts and figures
coming out of the Phoenix deal..i get a feeling that there's
something artificial about the stability of the stock's price.

these concerns that QWST trade at a certain price, at a certain time
so that this deal can go though seem, to me, something less than a
genuine concern for shareholder value.
