Thx,,, but admit in hindsight that I was born "lucky" because of one RE deal in 1937 that cemented our family's holding in Mich... I wasn't born on 2nd base; more like 1st base, with a threat to steal 2nd... it was always understood that "the family's" interests in mich were the family's heirloom... and what an heirloom it is, both positively and negatively... a slight emotional twinge about letting go of any "rights" to the old cottage, but simultaneously pumped for designing/having custom place built on the last "big" undeveloped section of "the hill" -- the most desirable of locations with beachfronts on two big lakes, one being Lake Michigan... and technically borders the "family" place, but mine will be closer to the beach and easier ingress/outgress on a (dirt) county road that gets priority 2 plowing in winter while the, sniff, older place is inaccessible after mid Oct. most years, unless you have a few snowmobiles -- I was the last of our family to live year 'round and/or over-winter, but that was 4 decades ago... did I mention I really like living in San Diego this time of year especially? <ggg>
