As usual the status quo Luddite bossy kleptocrats are in uproar at just another upstart doing things better.

Looks as though it's time to reboot my gene editing business which was put on hold 18 years ago pending developments.

Give it 20 years and government totalitarians will be making it compulsory to have approved genes. They'll be keen on compliance genes.

How is this different from "we'll build several hundred nuclear bombs but let us all agree never, never, never to use them!" ?
