(1) given that

(1-i) usa officialdom just noted the out-dated-ness / relevancy of un and eu nytimes.com

(1-ii) merkel & macron wants to tee-up eu army to defend against (of all military) the chinese, (more understandable) the russians, and (puzzling) the americans politico.eu

(1-iii) we now see ostensibly 'spontaneous' yellow vests at the arc, akin to red shirts in bangkok, jasmine whatever wherever, umbrellas in hong kong, colour whatever in kiev, etc etc all indubitably spontaneous

(2) we know what eu officialdom is thinking. one camp thinking russians, and another americans.

(3) the ones thinking american may choose to get on the anti-trump bandwagon and reveal intelligence info they may have call upon, or be leaked to by american fellow-travellers

(4) once capital flight gets underway in earnest, gloves could be off to bare knuckles, as extremist politicians take over from the soft hands of current rulers

(5) then there be the democrat-run house of reps ... taxes investigations ...

(6) all of this, on tapestry that is trade war, and currency battles, should make for extremely interesting 2019
