Hi Graystone,

The monday after the Buenos Aries meeting between XI and Trump. It's not beans in the teens, but these things are fungible. If South America sells to China the US will pick up the usual South America customers.

Soy beans are a big crop nationally and globally.

Here in Wisconsin, soybeans were not a crop 20 years ago.

My land is hilly and required "no till" planting and I was amazed at how well they did for the first season.

Exporting an ag product always has a portion of politics in it - thus farm support programs. The farmer that planted them got 1.68 for subsistence way back in August or so.

Farmers have a choice of what to plant (often controlled by crop rotation) - my farmer was happy with the yield and without a doubt will replant next year - he thought soybeans again.

So it can't be that bad - farmers are smart enough to know if it ain't working stop doing it.

Bob
