We have a friend who is a tour operator, so we told him where we wanted to go, he told us how much it would cost, and he arranged for to have a tour guide and driver everywhere we went. The tour guides arranged for the meals, our friend arranged all the transfers between guides, trains and flights, etc. His arrangements insulated us from the crowds, which reduced the chances of getting robbed or having to jockey for position for good photos, or having too many photo bombers.
