INTC was at $127, if i remember correctly, in November'96. At that point AMD was at ~15. The switch was tres profitable, thank you.(I am long out of AMD except for some fantisy calls), my K6-200 serves me welll.

I buy stocks to love and hate, INTC must drop about $10 before I breake even on the shorts, but I made 3X on the switch.

He must have used a PC with a flawed Pentium (bad math tables) for that calculation!! Or maybe he has a Pentium II with one of the many erratum that Intel will never fix!
