Hi Spek,

Good list !

I've got to check out Basfy 5 % dividend gets my attention.

I also like how GSK got clipped after paying a lot for an oncology firm - they committed to maintaining 80 pence (which comes out to be 50 a quarter plus or minus pennies and one special dividend quarter that usually kicks in a bit more. 2.00 / 37.41 = 5.346 %.

Times like these are when we give ourselves a pay raise for next year.

I just want them all . <smile>

I sold some T puts that if assigned get me in at 27.05 or 7.68%, if they do the 1 cent per quarter per year dividend increase. If not assigned the premium is just a 10% for 14 months - better than a bank.

I guess it is always a good discipline to keep that shopping list updated. Then better yet, keep it in your pocket till the market gets volatile.

In that volatile confusion lies opportunity.

Thanks for the great list!

Bob

GS. Sorry, I didn't go for it when you mentioned it. Got scared off by its Malaysia scandal and distracted by other stocks. GS stock rose substantially past month and has now come back down somewhat. I'll enter for a few shares on the assumption that GS business will plod on, and stock will be higher in couple of years from today's still depressed (maybe) price.
