to all:

Rumor has it that the biggest java partner to whom McNealy alluded to this week and is supposed to be announced next week will turn out to be none other than Intel. Anyone care to comment or have heard any such rumblings? This of course flies in the face of SME and its own java chips as well as intel's own statements that it would not be caught dead making a java chip.

I suspect this rumor to be wrong. I think the java partner will be in some way connected to e-commerce, ie,- B of A has selected java for use in all of its internet banking, etc. Would love to hear others thoughts and spec on this. bob
