These sort of Chinese computer and telecom installations have made everyone reluctant to use Chinese tech.

A couple of weeks ago China 'mistakenly' misdirected the Nigerian internet system they managed to reroute all internet traffic through China so they could intercept all traffic. - telecom.economictimes.indiatimes.com

China has also been very busy interrupting US electrical and other utility systems - scmp.com

While 5G is faster, it's also more susceptible to being sabotaged by these type of exploits China finds amusing to embed into commercial equipment.

Allowing China to install 5G surveillance and military exploit stations throughout the Western World's communications and control networks is not something that's ever going to be allowed.
