Canada has lots of evidence against Huawei. A few years ago, strange late night data packet bursts to China were detected on the new $250 million national Gov't and Military com system. A forensic audit of software and hardware found spy chips hidden in Cisco chip jackets on Huawei boards. Telus had to rip out the hardware. Canada could and should lay charges, however, I doubt Trudeau will allow this as he admires China and its authoritarian style of gov't.

Nortel's digital IP vault and email system was hacked by China, and within 6 months, Huawei was making knockoff Nortel switches and selling them for 1/4 of what Nortel could sell them for. Nortel soon went bankrupt, many jobs were lost and Canada's tech sector still hasn't recovered. This is the damage that espionage can cause.

Worrisome, is that Telus and BCE have been selling and installing hardware with Huawei boards to Canadian corporations in many many sectors of the economy. How much more economic damage to Canada has been done?

No doubt similar spy chips on Huawei hardware have been found in the USA, and once extradited, there will be many more charges filed.

In short, Meng's life is over.
