Actually, I was trying to address something much deeper than that. I wasn't looking at the evanescent politics of the homeless. I was looking at the evolutionary Big Picture - the idea that money has subsumed the evolutionary authority previously held by being strong, healthy and smart.
Ironically, I posted this just before rstarting to read Greg Bear's science fiction novel Slant. In it he treats of a society in which dataflow BECOMES the basis of all currency, with access to services and privileges clearly delineated by financial status. Live? Earn! is becoming the evolutionary imperative (or so reads the thesis). It's this shift in the basic evolutionary mythos that I'm opening to discussion.

You posted earlier that you believe that environmentalism necessarily entails a shift of resources to the very poor. I'm missing something here as I don't get it. Please help me undertstand.
