You keep believing that load of crap Elroy. France is the second highest taxed country in Europe. The most recent tax was to be applied on gasoline and diesel fuel. It was then going to be rebated back to french people who bought energy efficient appliances and accelerate the shuttering of coal electrical plants. Now you can make a reference to some tax the rich scheme all you want but it blows your credibilty because it is FAKE news. The initial ingredients necessary for governmental theft of people's income and wealth redistribution by progressives to disenfranchise the American spirit in the pursuit excellence and financial success. No country taxes CO2 emissions at the levels deemed necessary to substantially mitigate global warming as defined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The study found that even the most well regarded carbon taxes haven’t done much to actually reduce CO2 emissions.
