Must be a Giraffe Truck ----
Ericsson Microwave Systems of Sweden has in international
competition won a multi-million dollar contract from Venezuela for
four air defence radars. The Venezuelan army has selected the
Giraffe 75 tactical surveillance radar and combat control centre.
The radar will be used together with the army's air defence missile
systems.

Total order value is not announced.

The Venezuelan army is the 26th customer to select Giraffe radars
for their air defence systems. Totally nearly 500 various Giraffe
versions are on order or have been delivered.

Giraffe 75 operates in the C-band, selected as the optimum trade-off
for medium-range tactical radars when combining low level coverage
with detection capability of small targets in clutter and in jammed
situations. Digital doppler processing with CFAR is used to
automatically extract, detect and present the targets. An automatic
threat evaluation funtion and a special hovering helicopter
detection channel are integrated in the radar. Its instrumented
range is 75 km.

Ericsson's 100,000 employees are active in more than 130 countries.
Their combined expertise in fixed and mobile networks, mobile phones
and infocom systems makes Ericsson a world-leading supplier in
telecommunications.

Fair enough Daniel on the 1.16 ratio of Qcom to Ericy. I was unfortunately already aware of the decline in the numerator. I'll check back in a month or so...
