Adam Schiff says Donald Trump is facing prison

From the start of Donald Trump’s illegitimate presidency, Palmer Report has pointed out that no matter how things play out along the way, there is only one possible outcome in the end: Trump going to prison. We’ve been told, even by some members of the Resistance, that we’re being too “optimistic” with this scenario. From our view, the facts and logic dictate no other possible outcome. Now the influential Adam Schiff is also talking about Trump going to prison, in exact words.

When Adam Schiff appeared on CBS Face The Nation this morning, he said this: “There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time.” Schiff was strictly addressing the two felony accusations against Trump made by the SDNY U.S. Attorney’s office this week. But as we all know, there’s a lot more to it.

Schiff has been the ranking member on the House Intel Committee during the Trump-Russia investigation, meaning that he’s been briefed on sensitive information that almost no one else in the government knows. So he’s in a better position to know what’s soon coming down the pike, and he probably knows when it’s coming. Within perhaps weeks, we expect Trump to be formally facing dozens of felony accusations, some of which will be far more severe than the current two campaign finance felonies.

It’s also worth noting that House Democrats seem to be coalescing around the narrative that Donald Trump will be arrested the minute he’s no longer president. This may be an attempt at forcing Trump to realize that he’ll have to pay for his crimes in the end, and that his only chance for any degree of leniency would be to resign now and cut a plea deal. Even if Trump pleads out on all possible federal charges, the state of New York will still put him in prison on charges like real estate fraud and money laundering.
