I don't short this stock, I sold some at 58.687 and bought back at 58 several times this week... first time I've tried that and it works fine. I've since learned that traders love CPQ for its' moves... I'm working on getting my average price down... so far it's working out OK... I was tired of just waiting for the stock to break out of this trading range 59..56... I've been using the S&P bug on CNBC to get an idea which direction to play ie.sell or buy.. FWIW
Regards,
Ken

Short term trading is the key to profits in this stock. As far as blind luck I think a person would have to be blind not to see the trend on any long term chart. It will turn Compaq is too good a company to go down forever but take a good look at the chart and tell me it's not bearish. In the market you have to work with what they give you not what you want. As a chartist I have one belief whatever the truth is it's in the price. When this stock is ready to turn there is no one and no thing that will stop it. I hope for the threads sake it's soon. I can make money just as easy going long as I can going short.
