When will Putin finally turn on Trump?

I think he already has.

Putin was not pleased that Trump suddenly and unilaterally cancelled their scheduled meeting at the G-20, and was pissed that POTUS tried to pass that off as being about Ukraine rather than Mueller.

And he said so, via a spokesman, for publication.

Since then the Russian press has been mocking Trump mercilessly, saying that while America used to laugh at Archie Bunker — and then they elected him. This sort of attack would not happen without Putin’s blessing.

There could be a couple of reasons for this. It’s possible Putin is just reminding Trump who has the upper hand in an effort to get his poodle back in line. Another option is that Putin realizes that, between the historic loss of the House and the arrival of Mueller Time, Trump is unable to deliver his assigned tasks and is therefore worthless to Russia. In the third scenario, Putin has decided that paralyzing America with the possibility of impeachment is the optimal outcome for Russia.

Things have reached the point where there are signs of Clinton nostalgia. The view is that while Hillary is tough and anti-Russia, she’s a grown-up who thinks logically and can make sensible decisions. In contrast, Trump’s so mercurial and changeable there’s no point in talking to him.

Hard to believe that Trump sold his presidency for reviews like that.
