Fuchi, we finally agree on something ... "PII-266 if not clocked on 75Mhz bus speed is a poor choice." Paying several times more for the about-equal peformance of a 266x66 is plain dumb.

You are also right that most users wouldn't notice the difference with a PII300x75. However, I typically have 6-8 apps open all the time, changing them every few minutes as the phone rings. I got a board with 4 DIMM slots so that I could stuff it full of SDRAM. And the temp sensor on the LX MB will automatically slow the clock if things start to cook in Summer while I tax the CPU with an endless loop. For a professional programmer, having the best tools is just part of doing business (Lucas Films pays upwards of $250K for graphics workstations for the same reason).

Let's agree on something more useful ... I'll quit taunting you if you quit calling me dumb. Then, we can work together advancing CYRX and let the others on this thread rest their mice. How about it?
