Every "ism" is an idea rather than an implementation. So I think it is more accurate to say that communism is a bad solution for a real problem. That is, communism can be objectively shown to be a bad idea rather than a bad implementation of a good idea.

But if by "communism" you meant the government system in USSR and China (or North Korea) that was supposed to free the people from oppression posed by those born into wealth, then yes.
