I was afraid that it might go that way instead of the way that one would expect from a strong man. IOW: instinct would say that his horrible treatment would make him adhere to the principles laid out in the Constitution even more strongly. But the alternative reaction is for him to more easily knuckle under to the leftist's side. I do think we should give him more than one chance before passing judgment on him.
