Yes, you are correct. Most options are called away on the Saturday after expiration. When I have written calls on my stock, and I have done quite a few, they always got called than. Usually it made money but I would have made more holding the stock. Thats why I am a long term investor as I just accumulate good companies that look beaten down, like this one.

IMO, Sun has a double chance of being a great stock. Not only does it seem to have great technology and is well run, but its the main competitor to the World of Bill(Microsoft). And my gut feeling is that sooner or later Bills World is going to be broken up by an even greater power(DOJ. Not right now, but eventually. Sun is going to be a great beneficiary of this. But even if it doesn't happen, Sun is still a good company.
