How is he different when not seen through the eyes of the media? David Stern , Director (Company) Updated Dec 3 I can only respond to this second hand. My daughter worked on the Apprentice for two years. My oldest friend was a senior executive for a company that was both a business partner and a tenant at Trump Tower. My daughter was just started out in the business, so her engagement with Trump was only in group settings. She noted three things: He had massive telephone screaming matches, with lots of obscenity, that often disrupted the set. He had a pathological need to belittle some lowling in every business session. The massive non-disclosure she had to sign was enough to put fear into the bravest person. The relationship with my oldest friend was much more personal, as she was the executive in charge with the business relationship between her company and Trump. She says, that, by contrast to their media portrayal, the two Trump sons were a pleasure to do business with. She also watched Ivanka grow up, and at parties where, for example, Mick Jagger’s kids were running around being hellions, Ivanka was always polite and well behaved. As she grew into the business, she could be trusted to keep her commitments. Not so much Dad Donald. He lied about everything. He lied about things he didn’t have to lie about. He lied in public about his relationship with the principals of her company, and, in private about business deals and tenants affairs. He lied so much, that they sued him and won a big settlement. She found that it was important to write everything down that he said, so that she had a record of what he said, and in what context. He would refuse to admit he said certain things, even if his refusal contradicted a statement he might have made somewhere else. To Donald, each denial or assertion refers to the exact moment he says it, and has no context with other things he may have said. So, from the reports of people I know and trust, I suspect that the general picture we have of Trump is fairly accurate, though it may be distorted somewhat for political purposes. The media reports of Don Jr. and Eric may be a result of guilt by association.
