Thanks, Steve. I use the PBS quote service to follow options now. I'll look into an account there for very occasional option trades.

Sammy, plain English goes like this. Pull up a 3-month daily chart for CDRD which shows the highs and lows for each day. Find the highest points and draw a line which slopes downward to the right. Do the same for all the low points. That is a crude "channel".

You will see that CDRD was trading within a gradually descending channel until the fall to 12ish, which broke it to the downside. Then it jumped back in the channel and has stayed there. By my reckoning, if CDRD broke 16 that would mark a new channel upward.

All very subjective but a useful warning sign. I first shorted CDRD before learning any TA and got 10 points behind for my trouble. Had to double up near the top and ride it down again to make a profit. Took eight months.

Remember, any sort of product announcement: receivers, programming deals, or whatever will spike this stock in a hurry. That's why I would suggest a stop.
