Ben,

I am sure that when President Bill came out with his infamous statement that the Asian situation would have a minor impact, Bob R. and Uncle Al knocked on his door right quick to correct the message.
Greenspan has been very concerned as far back as "irrational exuberance" and, while Rubin has come late to the party, he has been a convert since the early Fall.
