The idea of devils working with magicians goes back to the earliest days of mankind. I've seen interviews of some of them who say devils work with them. It's hard to say though if that is really only meant to enhance their persona since they are paid performers and mystery only helps their stock in trade. It's a horse race to the top of their world.

Regardless, so much of what stage magicians do is really sleight-of-hand, clever, skillful tricks with natural explanations.

For example, in that illusion, you can see that Shin's forefinger is behind the card each time. That's a giveaway he's manipulating something to cause the shifting images on the front.
