That is my point , we need to change the culture and become a liberal country like the Nordic countries and I think the women and kids are on board. I never said it would be easy. I just said we need to get it done. Why is it you don't think we can get it done when we will control the house, senate and presidency in 2020?? And we can make a lot of noise by having the house e.g call a vote on keeping the ACA and pre existing conditions and let the Republicans vote against it :)>! <, We aren't the "Nordic countries," the culture in the US is very different, and that is what she has to work with. Philosophers from Aristotle to Machiavelli to Madison and Hamilton and of course in current times had noted that most people dislike change more than anything else and she is asking for a big change in a blunt rather apolitical way. The reason the Rs are excited to make her the face of the Democratic Party is that they decisively won the 2010 election by lying about the ACA and they will be happy to repeat that performance in 2020 if the faction that AOC is part of actually does become the face of the Democratic Party then. But you and she can be thrilled that you "fought the good fight."
