koan,

You have viewed two of her interviews, can't you not see how smart she is?

And how sound her policies are? And how honest and decent she is?. And how skillful she is?

Cannot you not see those qualities in her? Yes she is young, but my bet is she will be a great force for good going forward.

She will do 10 times for her district what Joe Crowley did. And Crowley owed a lot to the wrong people he received campaign contributions from.
Your passion for her is admirable and maybe you will be right about her. But right now, for me, she is an unproven quantity. I like the policies she has talked about but it is about building consensus and getting implementation(but $15 minimum wage does not make sense as a standard around the country right now, for high cost of living cities, yes, rural Alabama, probably not). She said she is able to compromise. Let us see if she does for the sake of getting something accomplished. As of right now, I have no idea how she will perform. Right now, the Pelosi thing overshadows everything else. Let us see how she recovers from that. She is inexperienced. But she needs to develop some sense about how her actions will be interpreted by the press and the populace. Just because she has good intentions, it does not mean that her actions will be perceived that way.

As to doing 10 times for her district what Crowley did, I have no idea what Crowley did for their district. Did he bring jobs and money to his district when he had the chance? Did he protect federal programs for their district? Was he able to get funding for a clinic in the district? Get support for extending unemployment insurance during the downturn? If she is able to do just some of the things she has talked about, she will benefit her district but I don't know, at least right now, if she will do a better job than Crowley.
