I can't speak for what is happening in France, China, or elsewhere, but in the U.S. this looks like a garden variety correction in a long term bull market. I suspect the decline is almost over, as Mr. Market suddenly believes that natural gas no longer has much value. Mr. market will change his mind when cold weather eventually arrives. I suspect we have one more sustained rally before an actual bear market appears. For timing, I think second half of 2019 or first half of 2020. FWIW.
