Why the odd lot? Perhaps it's not such an odd lot, money wise.
A buy of 3411 shares @ 5 13/16, plus commission of $173.56, makes for a nice even $20,000 investment.

>>>>>> Jenkins does not make very much money. That is indeed a large share purchase for somebody of his means.<<<<<<<<<

Gee. I thought Jenkins was quite wealthy.

See www3.techstocks.com

Also Jenkin's 1997 salary was 165,000 and his 1996 salary was
146,000 according to the annual report.

From where I sit that is pretty good compensation.
True he only made 40,000 in 1995.
But average the 3 together and you get over $100,000 a year.

Also assuming the following post from Karl is correct Jenkins sold 160,000 shares in July at prices between 1.79 to 4.18. That
would add another good bit to his income.

www3.techstocks.com

According to the annual report (page 61) Jenkins had 335,000 exercisable options on June 30,97.
These were exercisable at prices from $1.20 to $1.75.
So under the worst scenario Jenkins made an additional 6,400 and under the best he made about 418,000.

Whatever I suspect he made a good bit of money.

Also based on this same info it appears that Jenkins still owns another
175,000 options that are currently exercisable between a $1.20 to
a $1.75.

One wonders why he is wasting $20,000 to buy another 3411 shares at $5 + when he could use that money to exercise say at least 11,400 of the options he already owns at $1.75.

Hi Frank,

CEO Jenkins has three kids, a girl and two boys, aged 9, 7, and 3. Being a suspicious soul, and wanting to purchase stock for them to add to their future wealth accounts (which he does periodically), he purchased 379 shares (for their three ages) times 3 (for the three children) apiece for each of them. It came out to 3411 shares, which seems like an odd number, but it made perfect sense to Jenkins.

Regards,

M.M.
