"in fact according to diwan"
Well there's the problem. You can't believe a word either Dr. Eugene Seymour or Dr. Anil Diwan say. Ever.

[A]nd by the way [Seymour] is one who did not want to raise money when the stock price was much higher.... in fact according to diwan ... for the last 4 years he has been tanking the company...
Don't go making Diwan a saint just yet. I think he's being a bit judicious with the truth, only letting out what makes him look good.

I understood that Seymour was willing to raise money as soon as Diwan was willing to declare a lead drug candidate, to schedule a Pre-IND meeting with the FDA, and start formal tox testing. (I'm not sure I've got that right, maybe one of the three things he was waiting for was a VZV license.) I also understood that Seymour was trying to move forward with HSV-1 and/or HSV-2 (rather than spending a year futzing around trying to find and prove out a new model for the unlicensed VZV, an indication that cannot be tested in animal labs). The rumor I heard was that Seymour didn't want to solicit new investors for a company that (due to Diwan's continued foot-dragging) was unwilling to move forward. It seems little has been stopping Diwan from moving forward for the last year or two with HSV-1 and HSV-2.

Well, only insiders know for sure.

Obviously, this company has been incredibly slow at executing anything. Seymour has been gone for how long now? And we still haven't declared a lead drug candidate. According to SEC filings, we still "haven't finished due diligence" for licensing VZV for going on two years now. If you think that was all Seymour, that's an opinion that you'll need some more data to convince me of than just Diwan's word. I tend to think Diwan has played a major role in this mess. He's had the ability to fire Seymour all along. Diwan is the head of this stinky fish, and the fish rots from the head down. There's plenty of blame to spread between the two of them.

And what's your opinion about Diwan? Greedy or selfless? If Diwan is the new Mr. Wonderful, why did he make Seymour sign a non-disparagement agreement? And Why did Boniuk leave the board?

Just a few things to consider before scapegoating Seymour. But you certainly have a right to your own opinion...
