Given that his own district is bluer than his voting record, the important question is, did he vote with GOP on principle, or because he had ambitious plans and wanted to build a base for his future. The first is terrible while the latter shows great political savvy.

Remember that he planned to run for Senator in a very red state, and came very close.

4 the record,

I embrace much of the left corporate regulatory and anti-war ideology. I embrace progressive (though simpler) taxation to pay for our bills. I embrace a sustainable capitalism that embeds externalized costs (especially health and environmental) into the price of goods, while maintaining healthy competition and anti monopoly enforcements.

I know a lot of people who IMO have LITTLE understanding about how the USA works, from our FUBAR legacies to true improvements and goodness.

We are many voices and all must be heard. Almost all "sides" have passion and bias like myself. Although I make an exception for NAZI's and ultra racists and/or ends justify the means torture and deadly violence.

Deals are made in our system. We make sausage in the give and take. We do not want a dictator, or violence to have "purity." All options are available at both ends of the obsolete spectrum with a utopia at both ends.

I do believe we MUST agree on COMMON ethics and transparency, and voting rights. And clearly, the playing field of ideas needs to be more level for minorities of all types (again, except neonazi's etc. Always some exception in the sausage of Democracy.)

My focus would be on reforming ethics rules including financing of candidates also during and after public office.

I have current and veteran military and corporate friends who agree with legislators like Elizabeth Warren much more than Donald Trump or most Republicans. This country is all about DIVERSITY and lack of rigid political walls.

We must listen better to each other, understand the big pictures, and unite-not-divide the "resistance."
