I made a few more retail calls to check up on Nitro and I am smiling from ear to ear. I called several of the Twin Cities Funcoland stores. (they sell used and new video games)
One store received 30 copies this morning and has sold about 12 already. I asked the kid if it will be a popular game and if people were calling about Nitro. This is a direct quote "yes, I am getting calls every 5 minutes. It sucked working yesterday... I wanted to go home." Now granted, I am sure there was some exaggeration, but that was an honest and unprompted response. There were similar responses from other Funcoland stores stating that the
game will be very big and that they have received many calls and have 5-15 people on reserve lists. There were a few Funcolands that stated Nitro will not be in until Monday. I also called another EB and they stated that Nitro sold out yesterday. They could not tell me the number of copies. However, based on the copies the other EB's are receiving, it could be safe to assume that they received at least 15 copies.

Chalk up another hit.
