It'll work at 3 times the effective cost at 1 mbps. At higher speeds the cost goes up exponentially until you have to redo the copper with hyper-refined copper which is 20 times more expensive. At 6 mbps, you can forget copper unless you want to wait all day for endless error generated retransmissions.

TXN isn't trying to develop a comprehensive transmission solution. They're looking for niche markets. I should say they were. They know they have a turkey here. What do you do, just dump it all in the river? It reminds me of IBM's purchase of LOTS. A great strategic move? Groupware. What's happening now to this great move? Quietly being dismantled as IBM projects this division will generate $2 billion. What is the value of replication? Groupthink.

There are two types that don't believe in cable modem: Wall Streeters and experts in high tech companies. Who believes in it: the public. How can those dumbbell people hope to have the better view when they are going up against the great intellects whose courage and knowledge was fostered at our great universities. They know what needs to be known. The only problem is they are humorously wrong as usual.
