David K, If LGND presents "new data" they do so in the form of a press release before the presentation. Thus, if you look at the first post on this threaad, you will see what a press release does for the stock price. I get reports from the conference to see what might be "new" but not solid enough for a press release. The report that I received indicated that the initial data on advanced breaset cancer looked very good and LGND was moving ahead aggressively. Many of these sort of moves get be determined before an actual press release comes out. I don't think that any of the breast cancer data was reported. It's somewhat on a par with the LGD1550 data being "better than we could have dreamed of." IR will generally only tell you what you already know if you are keeping close tabs on the company. I generally call to get info about upcoming presentations and try to pick up on subtlties when I get answers to my questions. However, even that knid of information will not be forth coming from everyone at IR.
