It has been infrequently over 6 decades that I have thought "Jolly good show" in regard to USA military activities.

Trump's attack on Syrian forces in revenge for "chemical attacks" by Syria seemed to be barking up the wrong tree, for example.

The formation and success of ISIS seemed to be a Saudi Obama Clinton and co project to bust up Syria and skoosh Iran and Shite successes in Iraq. I did not agree with that move either as turning a pack of hyenas loose on people resulted in what should be expected.

Which is not to say Iranian atomic jihad on Israel is a good idea. Russia helping Assad is a better idea as it gives them something useful to do but as with the USA fostered disaster in Ukraine which resulted in Russia acting to stop the plan of attack, it would have been better to not repeat the Clinton crowing "We came. We saw. He died! Cackle cackle cackle".

To have Big D decide to withdraw from the plains of Armagedon seems an excellent idea. Russia will be disinclined to tolerate Turkey making conquest in Syria of Kurds even while Erdogan is tempted.

As Trump says, he has a long queue of people wanting to work in the White House. So if some quit or he fires them no problem.

The invasion of Syria to attack ISIS was a good idea though it would have been better to not empower them in the first place. Similarly Russia's self defence in Ukraine is understandable in response to the USA sponsored coup in Kiev. Obama seriously messed up. Bowing to the king of Jihad was not a good idea.

Trump might need those troops to demonstrate to Kim the Fatter that he needs to trim back in a few ways such as atomic bomb rocketry.

Good job Big D in killing ISIS. And good to leave Syria as per UN sovereignty rules.

Turkey aka Erdogan should not attack Kurds or Russians or other Syrians.

I do not trust that Armagedon is cancelled. The Norway practise war of Yank Tanks to Murmansk was not done for peaceful purposes.

The withdrawn soldiers will get some R and R then be rostered back into action elsewhere in service of the empire.

Maybe in a rerun of The Charge of the Light Brigade if the militaristic maniacs have their murderous way.

For now, the world has not ended.
