Big Money in Stocks:

My techie, who has informed me he has been "paying more attention to the market since you got in" goes to the Salem flea market and buys a little roll of Japanese stock certificates because we share an interest in all beautiful things Japanese (especially...nurses) and the colors and engravings are very nice. I am jealous of the certs, with beautiful lettering, very heavy paper, and architectural landscapes Shinto and Kyoto. I get him to make color copies, and he uses the Net, bein a techie of course, to see if he can learn anything about them. Nippon Bank tells him they're worthless, but since they cost twelve dollars, that's OK. We figure he'll frame some of them if nothing else.

He and I are both pretty good at research; but for some reason (I hope he's not listening), I wouldn't want to see his money in the market, for fear it would wash away. I don't think it would be his best suit. I also think this because of the rhythm of "luck" ~ he would have beginners luck, and then should quit, (I would worry). And in the nature of rhythm, his research located a fellow who bought the certificates from him "wholesale" for $1350.00.

He sends me an e-mail: "Not a bad return on 12.00, eh?"
I'm happy, of course, for the dickhead.

A couple of the certs are at:
