Ms Freeland = a laughable name and richly ironic. Good for a giggle that Canada arbitrarily arrested a Made in China lady running Huawei but squawks that China did the same for a couple of Canadians. Many days later and Canada has still not conducted due process legal whatsit to determine said lady's guilt or innocence of breaking what law in particular she's alleged to have broken = please provide the law and evidence.

At best it can be a breach of contract of Huawei with an American company. Heck, I can't even get police to show up to arrest somebody for outright theft when I have the criminals passport, name, location, documentary evidence and all they have to do is show up and arrest them. How come the full might of Canada enthusiastically launched into the arrest of her for selling stuff to Iran? Looks like an act of war to me - force taken against a Made in China citizen for daring to ignore USA/Canadian assertion on who she can trade with. I'm not surprised China is really riled.

The normal Canadian police response to such request by me would normally be "Sorry, we're too busy back at base having cups of tea to bother with your request". In fact they would tell me it's not a crime for her to sell stuff to somebody and that I could take a running jump.

Getting the Canadians back is easy. Am wondering why the Canadian government is not getting it done. The officialdom wastrels do not want to openly intervene in judicial process in Canada but have no qualms to do same in China? What are they thinking? Are they thinking?

What happens when trump ‘betrays’ team USA deep-state supporters in Canada and effectively intervenes in Canadian judicial process, and leaving Canada to hold bag? Are Canadian politicians thinking to that step?

Let us wait and see. Let’s hope team Canada holds some cards we do not know about, because so far as I can see Canada has one card in a game of Go, and is altogether in the wrong game, amongst the wrong crowd, at the wrong time, in the wrong place, and perhaps worst of all, does not realise so.
