A.W. I've had a position In Checkfree....ran it down thru last years bottom and started buying at $11 on the way back up....My problem was when the exceeed their target I sold.....all but a few shares....and just a day or two before Asia #1. I thought I was so smart, then this came out on them.

integrion.net

Look at the 10 year deal....then look who the partners are.

I couldn't stand it......I bought back in....just to ride back down to current level. I bought some more last Friday. It's now my largest postition. Why did I average down?

2 weeks prior to earnings...a new analyst picks up coverage on them...and rates them as a strong buy....It was at it's target mind you when they did it.

The Integrion deal blew it above it's target of 22-23 up to 31 couple months ago. And it was simply falling back to 'reality' the target. While other players (FDC --- part of MSFDC) is at 52 week lows..and so is the yet to be Proven CyberCash. I felt lucky we weren't back to $9.5.

Then last friday I'm eating lunch just flipping screens on the pc-tube. And up pops this Volpe Brown upgrade from Buy to Stong Buy....again before earnings & at the old price target. I couldn't call my broker fast enough and put in a market order...filled at 22 5/8. About 5 to 10 minutes later volume starts to soar on my tube.

I don't know what's up.......I didn't bite on the first one...but they got me on the second one.

Somebody going to move this digital cash in the background as a service to the financial instuitions......& merchants. I think what I'm going to do is go with checkfree because it has the financial instuition connections. Then FDC...because it does too, with MicroSoft...hence MSFDC. A little CyberCash perhaps.

I'm going to be watching all three of them very carefully as earnings come out this Q. In most opinions this year is the beginning of the ramp up.

A.W. I thought you might like this site. It gives a pretty good run down on the emerging standing for moving money via the net. Along with the new on the players involved.
