Lou,

I thought this article was very positive for Informix.
Brett B. from Informix said that they AREN'T seeing the same weakness.
I repeat he said Informix IS NOT seeing the weakness others are reporting! I think this is another clue that things are turning around at Informix. It is likely, IMHO, that Sybase, Oracle and Informix will do better than everyone thinks in the coming months. I believe that Informix will lead them all out of the funk as it was the first to FOCUS hard on the problem. Brett B. is telling us so in this article.

I think any statement coming from Informix is to be taken VERY seriously considering all the lawsuits this company is facing.
We all know how careful this company is being. We also know how
conservative that Robert Finocchio is. I doubt he would allow a top
executive to make this kind of statement if it weren't so.

Lou, I don't know if you read it carefully, but you should have been very happy with this article. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Remember, it always happens like this in the tech sector. When it is
good, there are nothing but great articles. Every tech stock is going to the moon. Nothing can stop them. Conversly, when it is bad, article after article states the sky is falling and its over. This is how it is reported in the tech sector. How many times has Seagate been GREAT been BAD been GREAT been Bad been GREAT and so on. Just to name one example. The same is true for the network stocks, the semiconductor stocks, the semiconductor equipment stocks and etc.
