Changing what jumpers? Please tell more about your Zip (ATAPI, SCSI, PP?)

BTW, if you are not willing to do what they say, how can you expect it to work? If you ever installed your own CDROM, you know these kinds of problems are par for the course.

David, a personal msg just for you

I am truly sorry that you are unable to get your Zip to work. Considering that over 12 MM others have, I would surmise that the problem probably has something to do with your end.

Why don't you call Dell for help? Remember that they charge more because they have excellent customer service.

As for shorting the stock on Tuesday, I really encourage you to do so. Obviously, someone so astute as to make investment decisions based on a transitory difficulty installing hardware should go ahead and short this stock right before the earnings release.

Good luck.

RE: Zip Installation

It took me just a few minutes to install a zip on my 386 40 mhtz (slooowwwww) computer. I just bought a 200 pentium. I misplaced my zip install disk. So I just downloaded the install file from IOM's Internet Site. It only took a few minutes again and everything is working just dandy. It is amazing how experiences vary among users. It just as surprising to see so many people base an investment decision on only one event.

Later,

John

P.S. I am not a wiz at computers. I needed something really easy to install. Lucky me.
