Mathon,

If my memory serves me correctly, SUN has contacted Ed twice about a buyout, and he rejected them without discussion (much to the chagrin of some of the stockholders at the time). But Ed's own credibility with the investment/banking community is so low now that no one would back a management team buyout, IMHO. And it has been a lot more than 3 months that there have been doubts about Ed. He capped it by not warning of the last short fall, indeed making encouraging statements prior to the last announcement, to the extent that there was a suit filed against him.

SGI still has great engineers and makes great equipment, but has had a mangement ego problem for the last 18 months. I hope that there is new management, and I hope that it isn't too late. Don't get me wrong, I would love a nice earnings report, but I don't think it is likely. But who knows!?

Regards,

Marc
